Hey there, I’m Chris.
I work with organisations to build web forms that make it as easy as possible for users to provide their details online.
Who am I?
I’m a freelance form designer from the South-East of England, and I help organisations just like yours to improve their online processes by creating simple, accessible Web forms.
I work with organisations to both digitalise offline processes and further develop existing ones. I focus on the usability, language, and accessibility of forms, helping your users to self-serve direct from your website.
The benefits of form design extend beyond your customers. As the quality of user input increases, so too does your ability to analyse, validate, and manipulate. I help organisations to capture answers in the most useful, appropriate format.
Though form design isn’t specific to any one sector, I've worked closely within the insurance, tax, and travel industries, most commonly creating or improving quote engines, booking forms, and online applications.
In 2012, I left the World of online marketing to pursue a career as a Web designer.
My interest in the field quickly narrowed to that of interface design, and in the years that followed, I began to specialist specifically in Web forms.
In 2015, I co-founded Leaf, a small agency that focused specifically on capturing and processing user input. When we closed Leaf in early 2021, I continued working as a form designer on a freelance basis.
Freelancing is just one of many hats I’ve worn in the last decade or so. Previously, I’ve co-owned an agency, led a design team, and worked in a start-up.
